An irresistible fusion of flavours with a tangy twist. A bowl of Mixed Lettuce Sprouts and Paneer Salad is the perfect meal to get you going through an exhaustive day. Also, like we promised, every ingredient is easily available in the Indian kitchen. The flavourful tomato, the succulent grated cheese (to make the kids fall for the taste of the scrumptious salad), and tangy dressing of lemon juice and spices make the bowl of salad equal parts enjoyable and healthy. You can always use Tofu instead of Paneer, since it’s even healthier an alternative that contains several anti-inflammatory anti-oxidants, also preventing fat from congesting the arteries.

Ingredients:

1 cup boiled mixed sprouts

1 cup Paneer or Tofu cut into pieces

1 cup iceberg lettuce torn into pieces

¼ cup chopped spring onions

2 tomatoes, cut into ¼ size

2 tbsp grated cheese (any variant)

Dressing:

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1/3 tsp chilli powder, black salt and grounded pepper as per taste.

3 tsp lemon juice

Method:

  1. Take a glass bowl and mix the dressing and the ingredients together. Squeeze ½ lemon on top and garnish with coriander leaves.
  2. Make sure not to crumble the paneer while mixing and tossing the salad. Can be contained in a lunch box.
